Bus 12

i've always wondered where in the world bus 12 stops.
so today i decided to just relax.
so i took bus 12 and decided to see where it went.
i'm one who greatly enjoys bus rides.
looking
observing
remebering
the places the bus passes by.
Apparently,
bus 12 terminates pretty damn far.
all the way to outram.
sia la
so i was in the bus for almost an hour and a half.
very nice and relaxing.
=D
so i got to see parts of Singapore i don't usually see all the time.
actually,
you may think that this fancy of mine may sound quite emo.
but don't get me wrong.
i do not do emo.
haha,
lol.
anyways,
bus 12 passed through mostly kallang, passed the nice mexican restaurant.
passed by the stadium.
went through Bugis, SMU, Chinatown and stopped somewhere around Outram.
Fun lah.
then i took it back again,
but this time i stopped over at Bugis to do some window shopping.
Nice lah,
got interesting places to see.
Snapped some pics.
saw some ang mohs.
then went to the really big library.
nearly got lost cus i wasn't familiar being in such a really big place.
went around and read some cook books.
get some ideas,
haha.
help my mother with some recipes.
fun la...
then went home after that.
wad a satisfying day.

Tomorrow:
might be going to Nanyang Poly's open house.
shan's poly.
cekaka...
then cousins from Australia coming to visit.

anyways,
will post more one of these days...

The De-Motivators.

here are more 'de-motivators',

Changes
-> It's never too late to turn over a new leaf, unless you're really old and close to the end.

Friendship
-> The 'buddy-system' is essential to you're survival;it gives the enemy somebody else to shoot at.

Life
-> Life is anything that dies when you stomp on it.

well, hope i made some sense.
smell ya guys around.
BEWARE OF THE BEAR!

Laugh Out Loud

Ponder about this...

Relationships
-> Sure there are plenty of other fish in the sea. But you're not anywhere near the sea buddy. You're in a desert. Alone.

Acceptance
-> Accept it, you're different and you don't belong here.

haahaa,

anyways.
smell ya around dudes...

"By the sweat of your brow
you will eat your food
until you return to the ground
sincr from it you were taken
for dust you are
and to dust you will
return"
cool right.
haaha

The Drummer

Mood: Energetic

Music: Nirvana- Smells Like Teen Spirit, Fort Minor- Believe Me

woooo,
i ROCK at the drum set!!!!
ok, let me feel good and praise myself once in a while.
Playing drums is a good alternative to exercise.
haahaa,
try playing 'Smells like teen spirit' by Nirvana and see if you don't work up a sweat.
well, did just that. shiok.
i'm proud to say that i got the exact beat the drums are played on that track.

WOW,
Nelly Furtado's Album is good man..
her album features Timbaland who produced the album.
also has some other 'rap' dudes who's name i dont know.
One of the best songs i must say is "All Good Things".
If u just broke up and want to cry more,
maybe you should listen to this song.
its a really meaningful song.
great lyrics and sounds great.
One factor why this song turned out to be such a great song was
because Chris Martin helped out in the writing of this song.
wahaahaa,
Calvin should be very happy to hear this.
Although this album is a mainly hip hop oriented one,
you can still trace guitars drums and Latin insturmentals.
So u can tell i played the drums to most of the songs on her album.
Specially 'Promiscous' featuring Timabaland.
which is such a great song.
Perfect to be played in the clubs.
ask Priscilla.
cekakaa,
JOke.
anyway,
i'd rate this Nelly Furtado's ablum 'Loose'
as 7 drum sticks out of 10.

smell ya guys at church tomorrow.

Till Kingdom Come

Still my heart and hold my tongue
I feel my time
My time has come
Let me in
Unlock the door
I never felt this way before
And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummer begins to drum

I don’t know which way I’m going
I don’t know which way I’ve come
Hold my head inside your hands
I need someone who understands
I need someone, someone who hears

For you I’ve waited all these years
For you I’d wait till kingdom come
Until my day, my day is done
And say you'll come and set me free

Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
In your tears and in your blood
In your fire and in your flood
I hear you laugh, I heard you sing
I wouldn’t change a single thing

And the wheels just keep on turning
The drummers begin to drum
I don’t know which way I’m going
I don’t know what I’ve become

For you I’d wait till kingdom come
Until my days, my days are done
And say you'll come and set me free
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me
Just say you'll wait, you'll wait for me

this is such a beautiful and meaninful song by Coldplay,

Coldplay rocks!!!

the beauty of the english language

now,
just read the questions.
and answer with
a)yes
b)no

1) ____, i haven't got a brain

2)____, i am not cute

3)____, i haven't got a life.

so you see,
with this simple questions.
u can see the beauty of the english language.

-What would Jesus do?-

as shannon says
'what would Jesus do?'

maybe i should start thinking about that statement whenever i
am tempted or angry and about to burst out in anger, shouting out vulgarities
and hurting someone.
As they say,
we were created in God's image.
So we must work to be like him and live like him.
But because we are human we are imperfect and
react differently to difficult situations.
So i shall remind myself of the 'wwjd' rule.
That would certainly help...

i'll be able to commit myself in the plans till feb only.

Serious.

i was watching Discovery Travel & Living last night.
it was about this American fellow who visited India, and he mentioned that his Indian host told
him that the Western Culture craved for so much in life.
Like big cars, big houses, fame, riches etc.
He also mentioned that unlike the western culture,
his fellow people ask for far less in life.
Food on the table, good health and a happy family.

What he said stuck with me.
I realised how true it was. We don't need fancy houses, big cars and a big bank account to live happly.
We can live happily being content with what we have.
All we need are our family, friends.
And most importantly God.
Many a time i have heard of rich people who almost had everything, and they lead a luxurious lifestyle.
Yet they were never happy with what they had.
They think that acquiring more would make them happier.
They crave for more.
More and more they craved.
Till their only purpose in life was to posses the material goods they have been craving for.
This would be their downfall.
Consumed by their own obsession and greed.
Whereas i have also seen people who have far less.
They live in small houses.
Not exactly a comfortable life.
Almost struggling you might say.
Yet, they always seem to have a smile on their face.
These people, happy with the little that they have.
Appreciating simplicity and humbleness.
Appreciating Family and Friends.
Appreciating life.
I wish i was like these special group of people.
I wish i didn't crave for so much in this world.

Smell ya around.

Sad Sad Day

wad a sad day...
daniel left today.
my brother.
i officially hate airports...
they're such lonely places.
the peaceful yet strangely tense ambience.
gives me a strange feeling.
will try to avoid that place.
well, at least the departure hall.
the place were people are sepaated from each other.
family and friends.
having their fate at the hands of a pilot.
they're future.
depends on him.
their future
uncertain.
haiz.
we'll miss you daniel.
see ya back on Febuary 15.

Lights will guide you home.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!! ^..^

hello people!!
HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!
so this will be the very first post of 2007.
imagine that,
we made it through the year.

today(sunday)
woke up early and went to pulau ubin with
Shan and Dan,
our last day together before he leaves for
Mission College.
So we went there and rented bikes and went about the island
exploring and how far we can push ourselves physically.
Pulau Ubin was really peaceful.
Then after that went home. (by the way, they slept over at my house on Saturday night)
We slack a bit then took taxi to balestier cus there was a BBQ
and some activities just before we ushered in the new year.
And as i sat there enjoying the company of my friends...
and listening to Daniel play his last guitar preformance in Singapore.
I realised that this are the people who i want to be friends with
till the day i grow old and saggy.
And because we grew really close this past year.
We got to know each other even better much to the extent that we may actually know
what each other was thinking about just by analysing the look on their face.
I love my friends.
And even though certain situations may not allow us to actually spend time with one another,
we'll always remember that we are family and that
one day.
we may be together in heaven.
Not needing to worry about one of us having to leave.
LOVE YOUR FRIENDS,
LOVE YOUR FAMILY.

Happy New Year Everyone!!!
Smell ya around peeps.
